Mawdesley Tennis Club – more than just a small village club!  Tennis Anyone??  Situated in a picturesque rural location behind Mawdesley Village Hall on Hurst Green, Mawdesley Tennis Club really is more than just a small village club! The club boasts x4 All Weather Hard Court Tennis Courts (one floodlit), a fantastic pavilion which changing room facilities, an outside decking/viewing area, and ample car parking facilities. With 5 highly successful senior teams in the Southport & District Tennis League and one of the top junior coaching programmes in the area, the club really is continuing to move from strength to strength. Three of the senior teams gained promotion in 2009 and the 1st Team also won the Christiana Hartley Trophy. The club also has two Licensed L.T.A. coaches, holds regular senior coaching sessions, club tournaments, friendly match-play and has a vibrant social side. The club is always looking for new junior and senior members of all ages and abilities and will be holding a number of FREE events over the next few months in association with the club’s ongoing school and community links. FREE Tennis Thursdays will allow juniors access to FREE Tennis. Whilst the Club’s FREE Play Tennis Open Day will have FREE Tennis Coaching for both children and adults of all ages and abilities.
