Mawdesley Village Hall Mawdesley Village Hall is owned by a Charitable Trust. It is run by a Management Committee that is made up of a mixture of representatives of village organisations and elected members. We exist to provide a place where village people can go about the welfare, educational and social activities that make up daily life. All the Management Committee Members are volunteers. We carry out a rolling programme of fund raising activities, and because all ou income is ploughed back into the fund, we are able to keep our hire charges low and subsidise the village user organisations. Inside we have a large hall, a smaller function room and a comfortable lounge with all the support facilities, including a large floodlit hard play area the size of 4 tennis courts. The hall and the lounge have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Amongst the organisations using the Village Hall are the Playgroup, Mums and Toddlers, Cubs, Beavers, Guides, Senior Citizens Luncheon Club, W.I., Drama, Mothers Union, Youth Club, Ballroom Dancing, Line Dancing and Ballet Classes, The facilities are also used for an art class, historical lectures, christenings, 21st Birthdays, Anniversaries, Wedding Parties, Shows, Dances and many other events.
