7th Book Signing at The Black Bull. Mawdesley's own John Singleton will be signing copies of his 1st book: "Rambling on in the Northwest" A compilation of 10 walks with a rambling group in the Northwest. 02.30pm to 5.00pm.

11th St Peters Parish Church Garden Party Barrons Cottage, Sandy Lane. To be opened by the owners of Barrons Cottage - John and Christine Sharrock at 2.30pm. Admission £1 for adults, children free. Plenty of stalls and refreshments. Everyone welcome.

11th Family Fun Day on The 1pm 'till 5pm. Attractions include: Brass Band, Stalls, Bouncy Castle and Vintage cars and Bee keepers. And a Fun dog show
16th Brass Band Concert in aid of The Royal British Legion in Mawdesley Village Hall at 7.30pm

24th Mawdesley Methodist church: Book and Pot from 10am to 3pm. There will be home made cakes tea and coffee as well as books and pots for sale.
October
2nd The Royal British Legion 90th Anniversary Service at St. Peter's Parish Church at 6.30pm (Provisional)
15th Mawdesley Methodist church: Southport Salvation Army Band are doing a concert in church in aid of our beautiful church windows which are in urgent need of repair. 7.30pm, tickets are £5.00 including refreshments. Contact Vicki on 01257 464902
29th The Royal British Legion Coffee Morning and launch of the Poppy Appeal, Mawdesley Village Hall at 10.30pm Admission £2.50.
November
5th Bonfire and Firework Spectacular in aid of Mawdesley Millennium Green. Gates open: 5.30pm, Bonfire: 6.30pm, Fireworks 7.00pm (Please don't bring your own fireworks or sparklers). Tickets £5 adults and £3 children on sale until 7.00pm 4th November at The Londis Store New St. or £6/£5 on the gate.
12th Parbold Chamber Choir present:Prayers and Psalms: Faure: Requiem. Christopher Lee Fleming: Five Psalms and Frank Bridge: A Prayer.

13th Remembrance Sunday. St. Peter's Parish Church at 11.00am. Afternoon service: Assemble at Crossroads at 2.30pm process to the Memorial for 3.00pm.
