Mawdesley Village Hall Peter recently travelled to Tibet to discover and
photograph rare alpine plants. His talk will also cover aspects of the journey,

BIRDS OF PREY FLY INTO MAWDESLEY The Mawdesley Equine and
People Trust, affectionately known as Jigsaw, is hosting a very special event at Easter which is
open to the public. Jim Brown, Head falconer from ‘The Hawk Garden’ at Leighton Hall near
Carnforth will be bringing a selection of his birds of prey for both static and flying displays.
There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children, and a very special Easter Bonnet Parade
from Jigsaw’s equine residents. Please come along and support this very special charity.

Annual Walking day Procession, Tea party and Barbeque. Walking day begins at 1.00pm
with a service in the church. It is to be an ecumenical walk of witness so all are
cordially invited. The Barbeque starts at 07.30 to 8.30pm. Then party till midnight in
the marquee on the cricket ground. Tickets are £15 available from LONDIS in Mawdesley.

at , Backhouse Stables, off Hall Lane, Mawdesley,
nr Ormskirk, Lancashire L40 2QY. Registration is at 1.30pm, and the fun starts at 2.00pm.
£5 per dog entry fee into all classes, which includes: Agility; Best Trick; Prettiest Bitch;
Best Fancy Dress; Handsome Dog; Child Handler; Judges Choice. There is also a raffle, and
refreshments will be available all day. All proceeds will go towards helping to fund the running
